BASIC RESEARCH
IN 2023, we began a collaboration with the Marcel Art Projects association to develop the “Point of View” project – an online database of conversations with artists and accompanying activities.
The “Point of View” project has been established to provide a platform for artists who are or have been active in Israel in the past, to hear directly from them about their artistic activity and the broad contexts in which they work by publishing their opinions, thoughts, world-views, and things they had said in conversations with them via various media over the years.
The database is intended for researchers in the fields of art, history, and sociology, as well as students, teachers, journalists and communication people, and art and culture lovers in the general public.
Co-editors and project managers: Itai Shabtay, Adi Engelman.
Advisory board: Dr. Maayan Amir, Keren Goldberg, Rula Khoury, Omer Krieger, Dr. Orly Shevi, Tali Tamir.
ART IN COMMUNITY SPACES
The collaboration with “Zumu – the Museum on the Road” continued with the development of the “Creating a Place” project – groups of local activists for the advancement of plastic art in the community and developing educational programs for the schools.
“Creating a Place” took place with two groups : Naharia – Mate Asher (Zumu’s sixth stop) and Yafo D. (the seventh stop).
Details of the 2023 activity will be published soon.
Zumu’s eighth stop opened in June 2023 at Orhan Zifzif in Acre.
